Why should I use Cont3xt?
If your business deals with consumers and the general public (B2C), then Cont3xt could be a win-win situation. Your customers win because you are sending them an offer or information which is highly valuable to them. Your business wins because you have increasingly happy customers, and have found new ways of earning money from them. Cont3xt can also be used to communicate with business customers (B2B) or your staff to give them alert or time-based information.
How much does it cost?
Cont3xt works on a pay-as-you go basis. You buy bundles of text messages in advance of sending your messages. For example, buying a bundle of 1,000 text message credits will cost you £70.00. There are no registration or annual licence fees. We also offer you a full money back guarantee if you decide to stop using the service, but still have an outstanding balance of message credits.
How do I get started?
First of all create your Cont3xt account. Registration is free of charge and there are no licence or maintenance fees to pay. You then purchase bundles of message credits which are available on a sliding price scale. The more messages you buy in advance, the cheaper it becomes to send. After that you upload the mobile phone numbers of the people you want to message, write your message content and then hit the Send button. It's as simple as that.
Do I store all my contact data with Cont3xt?
We think that it is best that you manage your client contact data using your own computer systems rather than duplicating your contact data with Cont3xt. Once you decide who you want to receive your message, you upload their contact details and mobile phone numbers. This can be anything ranging from a simple file export of contact data from Microsoft Outlook, or full integration with a customer relationship management (CRM) system such as salesforce.com.
Can I control when my messages are sent?
As soon as your contact data is uploaded and the message copy is written your messages can be sent immediately, or at a time and date specified. You can also set up a standard message to be sent out at the same time and day every month which could be a reminder alert for either staff or customers.
Will my contacts be able to reply to my messages?
You will be able to receive reply messages which can either be texted or e-mailed to you. When you create your Cont3xt account you will be able to specify your own unique Cont3xt keyword (e.g. ABCDESIGN) which will be the name that appears on your outgoing messages. For example if you want your customers to respond for more information on a new service or sales promotion, your message could contain the reply response "To find out more, text ABCDESIGN INFO to 07797 801010". When you receive the text or e-mail message with this response, you can call the prospective customer and manage their sales enquiry.

We have different user guides that you can download that will help you use the Cont3xt system and also offer guidance on how to plan, implement and evaluate text messaging campaigns.
